i have a small .mp4 animation that is supposed to play in a smooth loop. but when I use it in screensaver it has a weird jittering when the video starts over. It looks a bit like 1 or 2 frames just freeze for a second. I tried using it in different file formats, but this jittering just doesn't go away.
The only time the screensaver loops it correctly is when i use it in .gif format, but this way it will play only for like 10 seconds and then stop.

Would be nice to know what could this be related to and what i can do. I've attached the mp4 video i am trying to use.

Update for multiple files

I am also greedy. lol. The app itself is working properly and works for my current video but when I first used it I remember using Windows console commands to save videos from Youtube to use as my screensaver. I cannot for the life of me remember or find anything on the internet on what the console command was to save these videos. Can anyone help me? I promise to save a .txt file where I keep my videos in reference for next time. :)

windows 10 video screensaver error

I have the exact same problem. I was able to have the screensaver working on my work computer, but when I tried to do it at home I got the same error message. I tried to right click and install it , but that didn't work and I still received the same error message. My .NET framework is up to date so I'm not sure what is wrong. Does anyone have any idea how to fic it because I'd love to have the screensaver on my home computer too. Thanks for any help.

Solution to black screen issue on Windows 10

I've found that this issue is exclusive to .MP4 files. This converter can be used to convert them to other types (I converted mine to .MOV): https://cloudconvert.com/

When i extract and install the file, it just shows as a black screen.

Sorry, I think this screensaver is done for unless the developer fixes it. From what I can tell microsoft have recently updated windows 10 and it has completely broken it.

Im fairly sure this is the case because I normally defer updates to windows 10 for a month or more but today i reinstalled and full updated window 10 with the latest updates. This screensaver was working yesterday. Today after the reinstal and update i set up the screensaver and found it no longer is working (same as you, black screen).

When i extract and install the file, it just shows as a black screen.

When i extract and install the file, it just shows as a black screen.
