    Cons: While the platform is stable there are sometimes bugs in the updates, but these are resolved quickly and quietly without lots of back and forth. As we are located in Australasia we sometimes have to wait awhile for tickets to be resolved from Europe.

    Cons: The taxes (we have 3 here in qc) is not an easy set-up and need a workaround if you have more than one.

    Overall: Way better than our previous booking software. Lots of way to customize the look and the text in different language. We love it.

    Cons: Nothing to declare. They have a channel the users to report their optimization needs.

    Overall: After the transition from our old software, our manager said that she would pay the app use from her own pocket if she had to. That's how much it eased her work!

    Pros: Great user interface with a powerful backend. It's like having an employee who does most of the bookings and administration.
    Our customers find it user-friendly and it improves our efficiency by saving us a lot of time! Time we like to put into other quality things.

    Cons: It is a non-customised platform (would be prohibitively expensive), but the Bookinglayer team is always helpful in providing a solution so that the problem can be solved quickly and efficiently.

    Overall: We are very happy with Bookinglayer. Have been using this software for 10 years (were the first customer :-) ), and never thought of trying another booking system. We can highly recommend BL if you want to save time.

    "My experience with Bookinglayer"

    Pros: After having worked with three different PMS, without a doubt Bookinglayer has very useful facilities in the booking business, since it facilitates everything from communication to the management of collections and payments.
    Its calendar is dynamic and you know you can easily locate with your day to day, the connection between the sales channels and the implementation of the channel manager make you have everything at hand without the need to configure or review another additional program.

    From my experience I can say that it is the most complete hotel management and administration program I have ever used.
    And even though the time difference in Costa Rica with the Bookinglayer staff and big, whenever I needed help they were quick to help me, but in reality the program is designed so that you can do most of the work yourself.

    Cons: The only thing I could suggest to improve is the handling of customer data with the credit card, as a means of guarantee to make effective the cancellation policies and damages, however you manage with the web check in in the files you ask customers.
    I would also suggest and it would be very useful to have a mobile version, that way as an administrator or manager you can manage a reservation wherever you are, without depending on the computer.
    An App would be great, where you can assign visual roles for maintenance and cleaning workers.

    Overall: In general the program has satisfied my needs as a sales manager and operationally, since I had the induction with Diego Alvarado, an excellent person by the way, it has been very easy to teach the receptionists the use of the program.
    The only thing that gets a little tedious is the configuration of seasonal prices and discounts, it is a bit complex and you have to be careful. However, the rest is quite user friendly.
    The customer service is very good, they are always attentive to help and in general it is a super useful tool for those who are starting the hosting sector and for those who already have many years of working this we will agree that it is a tool that facilitates the management of the day to day.

    Cons: Calander is a bit tricky sometimes, although we do not use that feature too much.

    Pros: The team/support behind it, the features, the customisation to make it perfectly adapted to your business.

    Cons: A Pro that has a Con: As you can customise everything you want, it can take time to set up the whole system and master it, but that's only because in our camp there are so many things included and optional. Probably not a problem for smaller structures.

    Overall: I run both a big surf camp and a small surf house and I've been using Bookinglayer since 2019. It's just the best software. I run everything super easily and smoothly, from packages to rentals and other services. Everything can be visualised clearly and organised with our teams. They also integrated a channel manager to their system. Tutorials will help on every aspect to set it up. On top of that, the team is very friendly and responsive. Definitely recommend them!

    Pros: We like that we can customize it to suit our business. The an easy system to use, and it's fast and excellent uptime. The maintenance is great and the communication with us is the best we have experienced. We have been in business since 2008 and this is without a doubt the best booking system we have used.

    Cons: To be able to extend a guest's stay after they have paid a deposit. Once the system issues a guest invoice, changing dates, unless the stay length is the same, is an issue for us as we often have guests not being about to get flights and have to extend or shorten their stay. In this case, we have to cancel and rebook the whole stay. It doesn't happen often but it's something that gets a little annoying at times.

    Overall: The Bookinglayer system was discovered after a lot of research and using a few other systems. Our business is unique as we offer each guest the arrival night for free so it isn't changed. We also have packages and a few other items we need to customize which is great with this system.

    The Bookinglayer support is excellent and the online help engine is very complete.

    Pros: We like most about Bookinglayer is the visibility and the ease of management of our multiple properties listed on booking layer and also the simplicity of working with partners.

    Cons: All of the issues we had were solved by the support so all in all, we don't have any remaining issues.

    Pros: The set up is straightforward and we are able to take online bookings and register payments automatically. This is a huge timesaver for us and also has given our business a more professional appearance as people want simple and easy booking and payment options when booking a holiday.

    Cons: As it is a set up to cater to different businesses it does not always give the exact solution that would work best for us. It is not a custom-built platform of course. Having said this the Bookinglayer team is always helpful in offering a solution or tips how to create a workable set up within the platform.

    Overall: We are super happy with the platform. The platform has a lot more potential than we are using at the moment, it is a matter of us putting a bit more time into setting up all features more in detail.
