Pros: Salesforce made the management of our sales and marketing a breeze. It cuts down the untraceable leads and makes a powerful lead manager and sales pipeline to view every action from the top of it. It's by far the most powerful and effective CRM.

Cons: Nothing so far. Will highly recommend everyone.

Overall: Overall, Salesforce is an impressive CRM tool for small and medium businesses. The functionality it provides is unmatchable. Highly recommend to everyone.

    "It just works"

    Edited 2020-11-03

Pros: Salesforce is easy to use, easy to customise, and because it's the biggest name in CRM, everything integrates with it. They are constantly adding features, and they have solutions for almost any use case.

Cons: Some seemingly simple features are occasionally missing (eg, showing zeroes on a chart). Requests to fix these have sometimes been open for 10+ years.

Overall: While I can think of a few very specific cases where Salesforce might not be the ideal solution, in most cases I wouldn't recommend anything else.

"Reviewing after using SFDC for 3 years"

    Posted 2020-10-25

Pros: Every business metric you think needs to be tracked can be recorded and reported on in Salesforce.

No steep learning curve - once you start using it, you will have questions, but thanks to the lively Success forums and other channels, you will get the answers, in fact even if you don't get an answer from the others, playing around for a couple of minutes in the platform itself gives you much more insight. I tend to love the fact that the tool is intuitive, when it doesn't appear so, learning about some features is an enjoyable journey, you won't feel any stress.

The UI is loveable, Lightning has some resistance, but history is proof that many advancements in technology had naysayers until the masses finally got used to it. I found the transition from Classic to Lightning smooth because I was open to the change. It's the approach that needs to change, Lightning is here to stay (at least until a much better UI is rolled out a few years later)

Dashboards - Newbies will love the swiftness with which they can create their own reports and dashboards.

Duplicate management - This feature is single-handedly the most liked feature for users who have seem many CRM systems and the ways in which duplicates are managed in those.

Cons: Limits - 20 components per dashboard. Users would love to have more components added to their dashboards, especially when a dashboard is good the whole company than for different departments therein.

Inability to track lifetime engagement of a lead: Salesforce should look at bringing in this feature that helps users track a lead's engagement throughout her career spanning many job titles and employers in the same industry. Please allow for multiple email addresses to be added on a single lead record.

GDPR compliance - Should get default dashboards to suggest records that could be cleaned up to comply with GDPR.

Product object: Not everyone can afford CPQ, hence Salesforce should make the selection of Products on an opportunity much intuitive, like the dependent picklist feature

Overall: One of the thousands of Salesforce users who call themselves the 'accidental admin'. Love the platform so much, decided to stay the course and started with the first certification - Admin.

Have been very busy with the flood of requests coming in, but the joy I get from learning in the job is something I wouldn't get elsewhere (trailheads).

Looking at the certifications available to advance my career in this platform is like a child in a confectionery shop, or a foodie at a large buffet spread. Don't know what to have and what to leave...

Pros: The ability to customize this software is extremely robust and useful. This is the gold standard of CRM's in the industry.

Cons: The price and time to implement was extremely long and was much more than we anticipated.

Overall: Looking back on implementation, we spent more than double the budget we initially budgeted. It was painful to implement and our team spent 3 years customizing, planning & preparing for implementation.
