UFTP
Encrypted UDP based FTP with multicast
UFTP is an encrypted multicast file transfer program, designed to securely, reliably, and efficiently transfer files to multiple receivers simultaneously. This is useful for distributing large files to a large number of receivers, and is especially useful for data distribution over a satellite link (with two way communication), where the inherent delay makes any TCP based communication highly inefficient. The multicast encryption scheme is based on TLS with extensions to allow multiple receivers to share a common key. UFTP also has the capability to communicate over disjoint networks separated by one or more firewalls (NAT traversal) and without full end-to-end multicast capability (multicast tunneling) through the use of a UFTP proxy server. These proxies also provide scalability by aggregating responses from a group of receivers. -

Transferring files between macOS and Android or any other MTP device has always been a nightmare. There are a few File Transfer MTP apps that are available online but most of them are either too expensive or come with bad UI/UX. The official "Android File Transfer" app for macOS from Google comes with bugs, and innumerable limitations, some of which include - not being able to transfer files larger than 4GB, frequent disconnections, unable to rename the folders or files on the android/MTP devices. Most of the other apps available online use either WiFi or ADB protocol to transfer the files, which is an extremely time-consuming process. Countless searches to find an app to solve these problems and failing to find one made me restless. So, I took the leap and decided to create an app for us that could help us have a smooth and hassle-free file transfer process from macOS to Android/MTP devices. -

Easily and securely send things from one computer to another
Yet another way to transfer files that strikes a good balance between speed, security or simplicity by using relay-assisted peer-to-peer transactions and end-to-end encryption via password-authenticated key exchange. There are a lot of ways to transfer files. Above the basic necessity of preserving the data during the transfer, sharing data should be fast, secure, and most of all, easy. Most file transfer utilities I’ve used encompass two thirds of these qualities. I’ve wanted to make a utility that encompasses all three, without compromising any one of them. A common way to transfer a file is to first upload data to a server, and then, once uploaded, the link is shared with someone who goes to download it. This method is easy, but slow, the transfer rate of the file is half the harmonic mean of the upload and download speeds which makes it slower than either just uploading or downloading. -

Distribyted is an alternative torrent client. It can expose torrent files as a standard FUSE mount or webDAV endpoint and download them on demand, allowing random reads using a fixed amount of disk space. Distribyted supports several ways to expose the files to the user or external applications. Applications that supports WebDAV can access torrent files using this protocol. It is recommended when distribyted is running in a remote machine or using docker. Distribyted can show some kind of files directly as folders, making it possible for applications to read only the parts that they need. Here is a list of supported, to-be-supported, and not supported formats. Play multimedia files on your favorite video or audio player. qrcp
Transfer files over wifi from your computer to your mobile device
qrcp binds a web server to the address of your Wi-Fi network interface on a random port and creates a handler for it. The default handler serves the content and exits the program when the transfer is complete. When used to receive files, qrcp serves an upload page and handles the transfer. Most QR apps can detect URLs in decoded text and act accordingly (i.e. open the decoded URL with the default browser), so when the QR code is scanned the content will begin downloading by the mobile browser. When sending multiple files at once, qrcp creates a zip archive of the files or folders you want to transfer, and deletes the zip archive once the transfer is complete. When receiving files, qrcp serves an “upload page” through which you can choose files from your mobile. The default configuration file is stored in $HOME/qrcp.json, however, you can specify the location of the config file by passing the --config flag. -

Git-FTP
Uses Git to upload only changed files to FTP servers
If you use Git and you need to upload your files to an FTP server, Git-ftp can save you some time and bandwidth by uploading only those files that changed since the last upload. It keeps track of the uploaded files by storing the commit id in a log file on the server. It uses Git to determine which local files have changed. You can easily deploy another branch or go back in the Git history to upload an older version. git-ftp was not designed as centralized deployment tool. While a commit is being pushed and uploaded to the FTP server, all files belonging to that revision must remain untouched until git-ftp has successfully finished the upload. Otherwise, the contents of the uploaded file will not match the contents of the file referenced in the commit. -

Easy and fun way to work with remote servers over SSH. This project is being renamed as previous name "Snowflake" is confusing since there is already a popular product with the same name. Muon is a graphical SSH client. It has an enhanced SFTP file browser, SSH terminal emulator, remote resource/process manager, server disk space analyzer, remote text editor, huge remote log viewer, and lots of other helpful tools, which makes it easy to work with remote servers. Muon provides functionality similar to web-based control panels but, it works over SSH from the local computer, hence no installation is required on the server. It runs on Linux and Windows. Muon has been tested with several Linux and UNIX servers, like Ubuntu server, CentOS, RHEL, OpenSUSE, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, and HP-UX. The application is targeted mainly towards web/backend developers who often deploy/debug their code on remote servers and not overly fond of complex terminal-based commands. -
