Modern high-performance serialization utilities for Python
This package bundles some of the best Python serialization libraries into one standalone package, with a high-level API that makes it easy to write code that's correct across platforms and Pythons. This allows us to provide all the serialization utilities we need in a single binary wheel. Currently supports JSON, JSONL, MessagePack, Pickle, and YAML. Serialization is hard, especially across Python versions and multiple platforms. After dealing with many subtle bugs over the years (encodings, locales, large files) our libraries like spaCy and Prodigy have steadily grown a number of utility functions to wrap the multiple serialization formats we need to support (especially json, msgpack and pickle). These wrapping functions ended up duplicated across our codebases, so we wanted to put them in one place. -

NIST is developing the Open Security Controls Assessment Language (OSCAL), a set of hierarchical, XML-, JSON-, and YAML-based formats that provide a standardized representation of information pertaining to the publication, implementation, and assessment of security controls. OSCAL is being developed through a collaborative approach with the public. Public contributions to this project are welcome. With this effort, we are stressing the agile development of a set of minimal formats that are generic enough to capture the breadth of data in scope (controls specifications), while also capable of ad-hoc tuning and extension to support peculiarities of both (industry or sector) standards and new control types. simplejson is a simple, fast, complete, correct and extensible JSON <http://json.org> encoder and decoder for Python 3.3+ with legacy support for Python 2.5+. It is pure Python code with no dependencies but includes an optional C extension for a serious speed boost. simplejson is the externally maintained development version of the json library included with Python (since 2.6). This version is tested with the latest Python 3.8 and maintains backward compatibility with Python 3.3+ and the legacy Python 2.5 - Python 2.7 releases. The encoder can be specialized to provide serialization in any kind of situation, without any special support by the objects to be serialized (somewhat like pickle). This is best done with the default kwarg to dumps. -

Connexion is a framework on top of Flask that automagically handles HTTP requests defined using OpenAPI (formerly known as Swagger), supporting both v2.0 and v3.0 of the specification. Connexion allows you to write these specifications, then maps the endpoints to your Python functions. This is what makes it unique from other tools that generate the specification based on your Python code. You are free to describe your REST API with as much detail as you want and then Connexion guarantees that it will work as you specified. We built Connexion this way in order to simplify the development process. Reduce misinterpretation about what an API is going to look like. With Connexion, you write the spec first. Connexion then calls your Python code, handling the mapping from the specification to the code.
