Fortran codes for SCNURS method - Side Cut Non-Uniform Residual Stress
SCNURS - Side Cut Non-Uniform Residual Stress measurement method for plates, - is a destructive RS measurement method developed in Moscow, Russia and later in Bristol, UK. The method is specifically designed for the measurement of highly non-uniform RS fields, including discontinuities, in plates. This project collects all codes which implement forward and inverse solution to the RS problem. The codes are in modern Fortran with OpenMP. The codes are distributed under 2-clause BSD license. The code uses Lapack (http://netlib.org/lapack), Slatec (http://www.netlib.org/slatec) and CMLIB (http://gams.nist.gov/cgi-bin/serve.cgi/Package/CMLIB) libraries. All these libraries are available as packages on FreeBSD. -

CASUP is a Cellular Automata (CA) library for HPC and supercomputers. It can be used in materials science (microstructure evolution, grain coarsening, fracture etc.), physics (Ising magnetisation) and for many other CA. A collection of lecture notes and accompanying code on micromechanics
The collection MICROMECHANICS (micromechanics.zip) includes: (1) lecture notes (microbook.pdf) on the analysis of heterogeneous materials and homogenization, and (2) source codes (microcode.tar.bz2) that accompany the computational exercises in Part II of the notes. Instructions on using the codes are given in the README file of each exercise. Further instructions can be found in the file microcode.tar.bz2. The MATLAB codes are used for visualization, evaluating analytical bounds and estimates as well as in the generation of digital and particulate microstructures. The Fortran codes are based on the finite element method in linear and nonlinear settings, the latter capable of finite deformations with damage. Solver for Manning's equation used for determination of normal depth in open channels. This is pre-alfa version for further development. The main executable file is bash script "mansol.sh", which should be run with the name of data file as argument. Some examples are given. During the execution, the main codes located in "sources" directory are compiled with gfortran. -

Yet Another Finite Element Method Solver
YAFEMS (Yet Another Finite Element Method Solver) is a FEM solver for Linux and WIndows that reads a MED mesh file produced by Salome (http://www.salome-platform.org/) with certain groups created into the mesh, and with the help of an input text file (.yaf), performs a 3D or 2D plane stress or plane strain analysis and creates results in plain text format and in MED format. This way a complete analysis can be carried inside Salome, where a mesh file can be created, exported and read by YAFEMS with the help of a .yaf input file and post-processed within Salome using ParaView. New in v0.4 - More performance boost due to the implementation of the Cuthill-McKee algorithm. -

The code implements Muskhelishvili's complex function approach to calculate 2D stress intensity factors (modes I+II) from crack tip displacement fields. Surface displacements can be used with a plane stress elastic model. The code uses power/Fourier series expansion and a conformal mapping of an ellipse onto a circle. -

FE simulation based automatic global optimisation in modern Fortran
A collection of Fortran 2003, 90 and 77 routines, modules and programs for automatic simulation based global constrained optimisation. The initial application is for FE simulation of elasto-plastic buckling of steel rods aimed at tuning the hardening model. Unix shell scripts are used extensively. High concurrency is achieved with parallel multi-start global search and with parallel MPI FE. Powell's BOBYQA or LINCOA are used (not included in this package). Automatic mesh generation of 3D cylinders is provided + automatic boundary conditions, all via Fortran and shell scripting. -

2D Frame Analysis, Linear Static Analysis, Mode Shapes
This is a free program for solving linear 2D framed structures under static loading and calculating the mode shapes. It is coupled with an easy-to-use GUI that provides the possibility to design the structure very fast. It calculates reaction forces, diagrams of axial and shear forces, as well as, diagrams of bending moments. Moreover, it calculates the mode shapes of the structure using various methods and it will be cabable of performing dynamic analysis soon. The program is written in FORTRAN90 and the GUI in Python. At the moment it is available only in 64bit version for windows.
