Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, mtrojnar just announced version 4.44 of stunnel on freshmeat.net. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Real-time Protection for Hyper-V Moving resources to virtual platforms has allowed IT departments to consolidate and better utilize resources. However, protecting virtual machines is not always as simple as backing up the virtual disk files and special care must be taken. The three primary solution categories are backup, high availability and disaster recovery solutions. Buffer overflow protection was implemented for heap allocations, and gcc buffer overflow protection was enabled for stack allocations. Project description: The stunnel program is designed to work as an SSL encryption wrapper between remote client and local (inetd-startable) or remote server. It can be used to add SSL functionality to commonly used inetd daemons like POP2, POP3, and IMAP servers without any changes in the programs' code. It will negotiate an SSL connection using the OpenSSL or SSLeay libraries. It calls the underlying crypto libraries, so stunnel supports whatever cryptographic algorithms you compiled into your crypto package.
