Dear freshmeat.net subscriber, scoop just announced version 2.8.4 of Postfix on freshmeat.net. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Optimizing Server Management HP Insight Control delivers powerful capabilities that enable you to proactively manage ProLiant server health - whether physical or virtual, deploy ProLiant servers quickly, optimize power consumption, and control ProLiant servers from anywhere. Read more to find out how HP ProLiant servers with Intel processors utilize Insight Control. http://www.accelacomm.com/jaw/fmnl/114/51444346/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The changes are as follows: The trace client was made asynchronous, since a high load of DSN success notification requests could slow down the queue manager. The local(8) delivery agent ignored certain table lookup errors. dbl.spamhaus.org rejects lookups with "No IP queries" even if the name has an alphanumerical prefix, so these lookups are now skipped. The "sendmail -t" command reported "protocol error" instead of "file too large", "no space left on device", etc. The Postfix Milter client reported a temporary error instead of "file too large" in three cases. Also, Linux kernel version 3 support has been added. Project description: Postfix is an attempt to provide an alternative to the widely-used Sendmail program. Postfix attempts to be fast, easy to administer, and hopefully secure, while at the same time being sendmail compatible enough to not upset your users.
