It addresses the bugs found in version 2.11, as described in the Change Log.

Once the package is downloaded, do
tar -xvzpf Healpix_2.11c_2009Feb19.tar.gz
cd Healpix_2.11c
and follow the instructions found in INSTALL and at http://healpix.jpl.nasa.gov.
