`A minor bug-fix release, 0.2.1 fixes xml output issues with XSLTs and includes loader based information inclusion.

Versions 0.2.0 for both Phormat and the Phormat examples have been released.

Phormat

This release features new user interface features (accessed via the right-click popup menu of the matcher area), and also stores all important structures as XML, allowing the external manipulation of matchers and workspaces.

Phormat-Examples

A new and very complete matcher for Windows EVT Event log files has been added in this version. Simply drop the addons python file into the additional directory of phormat, and try it out...

A very minor release of Phormat has been made, with a new installer version for Windows that will fully install phormat to your harddisk, allowing you to drop in custom loaders and try out some of the new matchers as and when they are released. It also includes a rather experimental error console, but this should be cleaned up for the upcoming 0.1.1 release. This version now uses python-2.5 for anyone keeping track out there, and once again do feel free to email me at ikelos@users.sourceforge.net if you have any problems, or use the bug tracker to file bugs...

Phormat now has some examples!

Over the weekend I've added an index.dat reader. Unfortunately it won't work with the windows binary distribution of phormat-0.1.0, since it requires a new loader, but I hope to release an installer for phormat on windows that you can drop the new loader into.

We've also released one of our early testing matchers, it's a *very* rudimentary ethernet/ip/tcp/udp packet matcher. At the moment it's most matching the lengths, but not interpretting the data in any way, but again that should develop once we've got time. Unfortunately at the time of this release there aren't example files yet to tell you how to use it or what's going on. This will change in the next few days, so please bear with me until I manage to get some example matchers written. I'll most likely start off with Pcap packet capture files and some simple matchers to determine the information in IP/UDP/TCP traffic. I then hope to provide an IE cookie/history index.dat matcher, and finally some more interesting examples after that.... read more
