Not sure how to rate Astronomy Linux 21.04 as it apparently is a beta product release. That being said, one of the major use features being the ability to run my telescope does not work, at all. How am I going to be able to provide bug reports when a major product service doesn't work? So far, I haven't seen any updates since this beta release last month, May 2021. Another problem I've had is that I am unable to update KStars to either the nightly build or the bleeding edge including INDI using the command line instructions supplied by the INDI website. When making the call I get a series of error messages: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/apt-add-repository", line 363, in <module> addaptrepo = AddAptRepository() File "/usr/bin/apt-add-repository", line 41, in __init__ self.distro.get_sources(self.sourceslist) File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/aptsources/distro.py", line 91, in get_sources raise NoDistroTemplateException( aptsources.distro.NoDistroTemplateException: Error: could not find a distribution template for Astronomy/hirsute So, not being anything like a Linux expert, I have no idea as to what this means let alone knowing how to correct it. Please pass this along to the authors of this great open source software. I'd just hate to revert back to an older version of Astronomy Linux. Regards, John
