  • This tool is a favorite. Being able to do disk image to capture recovery partitions makes swaps of disks easy.
  • We were using Acronis Snap Deploy 3 for over a year but have always had issues with some systems that they have not been able to resolve. I decided to try Clonezilla Live and after great success on multiple systems I set up Clonezilla SE (and kept the option to boot to debian using DRBL to do things like file recovery, change local Windows passwords, etc). I couldn't ask for more!
  • Really neat tool once you get the hang of it.... One little quirk that should be documented in the help screens (or even better fixed)... the program CAN write the partition table when restoring, but it won't give the option a brand new disk. It quits with the message "Error! No unmounted partition(s) are found! To use Clonezilla to save or clone a partition, the source partition must be unmounted!". Being a 'nix novice it took about 2-3 hours of searching to figure out that I needed to create a partition table, with one partition for Clonezilla to overwrite. Once I did this it recreated the original structure very nicely. Overall a really great tool... needed to upgrade a failing hard drive on an old laptop... backed up the old data to my little NAS box and then restored.... other than the above "quirk" it was a snap! Hats off to the development team for such a powerful tool

  • Believe you will love it. welcome to: http://www.shoesforking.com/
  • its great..
  • clone and restore using live CD works fine, provided you know your way in linux. Never got around to trying server, guess it can make backup on network way easier.
  • Quite powerful platform. Definitely worthy a try and own one.
  • Ive been using Clonezilla for a long time, it is exactly as great as they say! :)
  • good job
  • Hope this can help ME
  • This software is absolutely fantastic. It's the BEST solution for disk backup, and blows away all of the commercial software such as Norton Ghost! I have been beta testing for a few years, and Clonezilla has saved my precious data more than once in that time. When you're a computer programmer, often data losses can include thousands of lines of code (very hard work!) that can represent many, many hours of complex work. Clonezilla is easy to use, and does exactly what it's supposed to (with many additional features). I keep a backup copy of my entire disk to restore if anything goes wrong, which it often does based on the nature of the operating system. The saved disk images can be archived together as solid, as the changes between each backup are slim, allowing the user to perform backups frequently. As a software engineer myself, I can truly appreciate what goes into software like this. Remember folks, data that isn't backed up is data you don't care about. Great job, guys!

  • Brilliant piece of software, just the basics and it works! Invaluable in a linux shop for servicings winboxes, linboxes and replacing near dead hard drives
  • Great Software. Simple and Powerful.
  • Excellent, I was looking for exactly this kind of backup for a long time. Hassle free, and it actually works. I rate it 10/10.
  • Tested with ext3 and NTFS system partitions - makes image and creates perfect bootable restored disk every time, including proper offset for SSDs. Very good work, Steven.
  • I try it with many servers Linux and Windows, and work clean and very fast!
  • I need ext4 to work and clonezilla does the job :-) (unetbootin on linux for USB live creation from iso is not working though..) cheers.
  • EXCELLENT!!!! Cloned 160GB notebook sata drive to 500GB drive in about 35 minutes! FLAWLESS
  • If you support a small/medium business, check out Clonezilla before you spend 500 dollars on Symantec Ghost! (Enterprise customers may want Ghost for "official support" from Symantec, but they should evaluate Clonezilla too!) In addition to being free, Clonezilla has clearly made a giant leap past Ghost regarding features, supported partitions/volumes, automation, etc. Highly recommended!
  • should I trust china software ? It can do some spy on my pc ?
