  • could use a "sample data set" to be more easily used. instructions could use a bit more help. but: for an "accounting 101" starter, or a down-to-earth accounting basics install, it's perfect. you copy to a web folder. create a database and matching user with full privileges. then modify "lib.dbconnect.php" with the db and credentials. then surf to the login page and click on "Click here to sign up". then in put a user/pass (at least 6 characters each) and a new accounting system is built with that name. There is only one report which shows profit/loss & balance sheet all in one for the selected range. However: multiple users would have to share a password. each user gets their own complete accounting system, so you can't see another user's accounting system. Excellent for teaching accounting basics. Not so great if you want multiple users and pretty reports, etc. If you are planning to build your own, this is the perfect starter, though. Lives up to its name quite well. I have not verified it works accurately (no bug check, just a quick install and eval) 8-)
