With first language being Chinese, I have used both Jreepad and TreeDBNotes.
Jreepad supports Chinese better but does not support attachments.
TreeDB supports attachments but Chinese characters must first be pasted to Windows Notepad, then copied to TreeDB.
With Jreepad, I can input Chinese directly. No need to go through Notepad.
However, TreeDBNotes' file attachment feature is indispensable to me. Therefore, I have been using TreeDBNotes actively.
I have downloaded but have not started using Ragna Scribe. It is my hope that Ragna Scribe can both support Chinese like Jreepad and attachment like TreeDBNotes. Dankeschön in advance.
Update: Installed and found it an ancient command line tool. Instead of a graphic interface like the 2 tools mentioned, this tool works from the Command Prompt, which is not my cup of tea.

Ragna Scribe has a graphical surface, I use it daily and it works well. Any other appearance likely is based on faulty application or some system failure. Check your Java installation!
