Pros: I love that it has online scheduling for my clients and when linked with Cardpoint they can pay for the inspection during the confirmation. Customer service has always been very prompt
Cons: It really needs the ability to embed video, which they promise is coming in an update, but its been a bit now.
Overall: This is a great product, but does need to update to have a more modern interface for the clients. Even with that, its miles ahead of many of the other platforms I've tried, and once they get their updates in, it will be the best on the market for home inspectors.

Pros: I am able to create the inspection report as I perform the inspection, including pictures and all of the narrative. I then deliver the report to the buyers and their realtor at the end of the inspection.
Cons: I haven't found anything that I am not satisfied with.
Overall: I have been an inspector for over 20 years. The first 16 were with a franchise and I was required to use their proprietary software. The last four years I have been an independent home inspector. I searched lots of different home inspection software companies. I could not be more satisfied with Carson Dunlop - Horizon software.

Pros: 1- Customer Support is amazing and they always respond.
2- The mobile app allows pics to be dropped directly into the report, speeding final review. Once you get your presets done for your write ups, the report can literally be 100% done onsite if you wish.
3- They constantly update the system to stay current with today's inspector's needs to ensure the reports are professional with links to quickly move through the report.
4- The back end Business Suite fully automates my entire email system. I complete the work-order and it sends the contract to be signed, invoice to be paid and updates the work-order when client completes each one. I've got four (4) automated emails sent over a year when I click Publish Report to keep my company relevant with the client. I've received multiple reinspections 1yr later for end of warranty policies and gotten lots of great reviews with the automated request as well. It all happens with just one click.
5- They have a full scheduler embedded I've into my website that links to my calendar for clients or agents to use to schedule insp's.
6- Reports are fully customizable with thousands of available write-ups to choose, modify or write your own.
7- They conduct monthly webinars to improve your writing and inspection skills as well as invaluable insight and advice from the owner who helps you build your business.
8- The YouTube page is a huge resource to help you build and learn the report software!
9- The Agent Action List is a game changer in my market! Agents typically copy and paste report findings to a Word document and send that over to the Listing Agent- TIME CONSUMING!!! The Action List lets them create a full PDF with pictures, from the report, of just the items the client wants repaired, replaced or an allowance. The Action List totals the allowance and they just email a simple Link to the Listing Agent to download. My agents tell me that's a huge time saver for them and love it.Cons: There's always cons and the only thing I'd say, as with ANY software in the market today, is the report setup. It takes time to modify the write-ups to your liking, in your writing style etc. As you use create reports though, you can save each write-up as a default so next time you just select the defect, take a pic and save it and move on... over time each report gets faster and onsite time is reduced. They've reduced this immensely since I started after requests from us in the field by presetting the defaults for tons of write-ups from the start, saving hours.
Overall: I started with Horizon after seeing my first report software didn't actually help me as a new inspector and was far from a professional appearance. I called and spoke with Horizon quite a while before finally giving it a try and the result over the last 3yrs is a 300% increase in revenue! They've helped me build my business as a lone inspector and agents love my reports and the Action List. The mobile app allows me to be over 90% done with the report onsite and I finish with a review online before sending the report from home. It's been a game changer for me and my business and highly recommend Horizon Software for any inspector!

Pros: Once set up, the reports are easy to use and helps to keep things organized. I have had countless positive comments about the ease of use from my clients and agents over the last 12 years. I set up input requirements to ensure nothing required by our standards of practice is left out reducing call backs or complaints stating something was missing.
Cons: It took a while to set up, but it was so worth it.
Overall: Awesome. John or someone on his staff has always been there for any questions I have had. I may have had 4 or 5 calls in 12 years. Thanks for creating a great product.
