    "A non-profit review of Volgistics"

    Pros: Volgistics was great for tracking hours worked by volunteers, board members, and our program participants. It was easy to create custom sign-up forms to reach out to volunteers. Volunteers also found it easy to track their own hours. Using this software, we were also able to keep track of everyone's contact information and reach out to specific groups of volunteers with new opportunities.

    Cons: The website looks like it's from the early 2000s. I think it could use a more modern update. It doesn't affect functionality, but some staff and volunteers commented on how old it looks.

    Overall: Overall, it is great! It was easy to learn how to use and support/training is readily available online. This software is a great option for tracking volunteer data.

    Pros: The interface on the volunteer side is the best I have seen for volunteer coordinating software. My company was considering moving away from Volgistics, but couldn't find a better alternative that is easier or just as easy for volunteers to use. The scheduler makes it very easy to have a large number of volunteers work on different projects and communicate the schedule with the rest of the staff. Adding an opening is also very easy to do, and there are multiple ways to look at the schedule; great for different types of learners!

    Cons: When a volunteer is on the schedule their service is not automatically recorded, someone must go into the volunteer profile and record the hours for them. Other than that though, the software is easy to use and understand for both staff and volunteers.

    Overall: Overall Volgistics has been very helpful for our organization in scheduling volunteers. The ability to email all volunteers or just a select group is a great resource for the price. It can also save files to a volunteer's profile, so waives are easy to find and there is no need to have a file cabinet of forms.

    "Convenient Volunteer Time Tracking System"

    Pros: Logging time is easy with this. You simply log in and log out, and it stores everything for you. If you forget to log in, you can manually add your hours later. This is really great for organizations and companies where volunteers may work in several different departments. All of the areas that a volunteer can work in are stored under that volunteer's account. Through the log in screen, the volunteer will be presented with all the options available to them to work and can log in and out of different ones to switch to new assignments. Volunteers can also sign up for future events through the calendar and see who else is working different shifts throughout the coming weeks. A great feature as it makes switching shifts with other volunteers for health or vacation reasons easy as well.

    Cons: The calendar for signing up for future events can glitch at times. It may go back too far or lag on a specific day that was clicked on. Another issue I've seen it have is with pop-up messages on touch screens that end up being too large and covering up the log in screen and sometimes the very button to close out the message. At one organization I was out, this often meant the whole thing had to be reset sometimes. I haven't seen this issue in a long time, so perhaps this has been fixed. Unnecessary messages about anniversaries still happen though, and still sometimes freeze for a while when they do.

    Overall: I've used this through two different organizations, and haven't had any major issues with it. It's easy to use and makes keeping track of hours, upcoming shifts, and switching shifts painless. The only issue was it sometimes glitching with messages on the touch pad, and this rarely occurred. I haven't seen that happen to the point of needing to restart everything in several years. Recently, it's that occasionally a pop-up message might lag for a few seconds after a user tries to close it. Other than that, there's not a lot of cons I can think of. I'd recommend it.
