Unfortunately, my installation (Windows 11) does not include a paths.txt file. My index files are located on my (crowded) C drive at the address given in that FAQ. Your FAQ mentions "portable document repository" which suggests that once the index is created, the source files are no longer required. I need to confirm this. Specifically, if I create an index of folder "Books," and then delete the content of that folder, will DocFinder index search still function normally? I realize that clicking an item to display the text block containing the hit will not work. I'm hoping that DocFinder will still tell me what files satisfy my query, and then I can copy those...
