Hi All,

Lets have it tomorrow 2-4pm (saturday, 24th). Even if 5-6 of 12 members
make it would be good to start a discussion.

Ping me offlist with your skype/google ids also your cell no in case I do
not have it.
my id is karunakarg - add me to your contacts.

We will try it on hangout, I will send the invite. In case hangout fails
then would use skype.

Hi,

 Its been a while something happened on society front. Until last
discussions , consensus was divided on whether to revive & continue
the society or declare it defunct and proceed for closure.

There is a event around Indic+localization happening in September
6th, 7th 2013 in Pune.

Since I expect some members will be participating in it, I was
thinking to call for meeting if we can get required quorum (7-8
members)
This meeting can serve purpose of getting some decisions
ratified and signed on, deciding on future direction of the
society.

I will send out formal meeting notice by mid August and proposed
agenda.

 Based on earlier dicussion on possible Indlinux activities. Here is
a proposal for Indic Fonts Project - Why we need more Indic fonts.

Gist of proposal being, since at present there is only one font
family (Lohit) on FOSS, it would really benefit to have more families
(much like Arial, Helvetica, Times, Verdana, Calibri or Liberation
Sans, FreeFont, Gentium, Dejavu , Bitstream Vera for English).
