Suggestions:
Just that, check the spelling mistakes such as "యోక్క (should be "యొక్క"). "Places" translated as "చోట్లు", in my opinion, maybe "స్థలాలు" "ప్రదేశాలు".

Corrections:
All shortcut keys better be in English.
 e.g. msgid "_Hourly" should be msgstr "గంటకోసారి (_H)" instead of msgstr "_గంటకోసారి"

As I said earlier, I could not spend much time and hence I am giving my suggestions here itself. Hope it helps.

Hi,

In my opinion Gcompris is not easy as other applications to localize as it
is specially designed for children who belongs to age group 2-10 yrs and
who are unfamiliar with language. I am not sure about the terminology used,
whether it can be understandable by the children or not but I tried to keep
it simple. Still it has to be simplified alot. While I initiated this in
2011, I have covered most of the UI part and did upto 45%. After that I
never touched that again as it was a big package and takes time to clone
and I also have a doubt that who are gonna use it even though it is
localized :(

Later I have created project in transifex for friendly translation platform
where anyone can join and localize few projects.

Yeah, translation of strings is not enough and more work has to be done. I
think together we need to focus on Gcompris to bring it to usable condition.

Addons and voice translation can be done and color translation in Telugu is
very tough.

http://gcompris.net/wiki/Translation_addons which asks for 3 wordlists
for 3 games and a page for advanced colours to be localised. Next
important one would be voice recordings.

మెగాబైట్లు(పేజీ 3.7కిబై) వుంది. అనగా పాఠ్యీకరణ పరిమాణాన్ని దాదాపు50 వంతుకు
కుదించటంతో పాటు ఎటువంటి గణనపరికరంపైన సమాచారాన్ని చదవకలిగేస్థితికి
తీసుకొస్తుంది.

దీనిని ఉపయోగించి తెలుగు ఒసిఆర్ సాఫ్ట్వేరు అభివృద్ధిపరచి తెవికీ సోర్స్ కు

బ్లాగు పై ఆసక్తి వున్నవాళ్లకి ఆ ప్రాధాన్యత పనికిరావచ్చు. నా దృష్టిలో చాలా
బ్లాగర్లు వికీపీడియాలో ప్రవేశించినతరువాత బ్లాగర్లు అయ్యారు. వికీపీడీయా
అయితే అందరికి ఉపయోగపడే మానవాళి ఉపయోగాపేక్ష తప్ప ఇతర అపేక్షలులేనిది కనుక,
బ్లాగు ప్లాట్ఫారమ్ లో తేడాలు అవి పట్టించుకోకుండా చెప్పటానికి వీలవుతుంది.
టైపింగు అనుభవానికి వికీసోర్స్ వాడవచ్చు. వ్యాసాల నమూనాలకు మొదటిపేజీలో
ప్రచురితమైన వ్యాసాలు చూపించవవచ్చు. వ్యాసాలకు వాడుకునే బొమ్మలగురించి కామన్స్
పరిచయంచేయవచ్చు.  వారికి వచ్చే సవాలక్ష అనుమానాలకు  చాలా సమాధానాలు వికీలో
చూపించవచ్చు. వారి వారి వాడుకరిపేజీలలో వ్యాసాలు ప్రారంభింపచేయవచ్చు.

మీ అనుభవాలు పంచుకున్నందుకు చాలా సంతోషం. Linux for you లో ప్రచురిస్తున్న వ్యాస పరంపర 
కొత్తవారికి ఎంతో సాయపడగలదు.

మీరన్నది నిజం. సంస్థల ఆదరణ లేకపోతే ఇవి నిలవడం అసాధ్యం. స్వేచ్చ బృందంగాని, ఔత్సాహికులుగాని పొన్నాల 
లక్ష్మయ్య గారిని కలిశారా? వారికి ఇటుగా ఆసక్తి ఉందనిపిస్తోంది (ఫాంట్లవీ చేస్తున్నారు కదా). మనలో ఎవరికైనా 
ఇక్కడ ( http://apit.ap.gov.in/index.php/contact-us) ఉన్నవాళ్ళలో ఎవరైనా తెలిస్తే

తెలుగు లినక్స్ వేర్లూనటానికి వ్యవస్థలో కొన్ని సంస్థలైనా ముందు నడవాలి.
కేరళలో మొన్న మొన్నటిదాక స్వేచ్ఛా సాఫ్టువేరుకి పాఠశాల స్థాయికంప్యూటర్

Swecha is one team , Krishnababu from Redhat , Praveen Illa and Veeven
who are volunteers are the most active localisers .

There were many efforts to bring a combined glossary , combined
working on translations . One such effort could be FUEL whose workshop
I organised 2 years back with help of Acharya Nagarjuna university
guntur where me , Arjuna Rao and Krishnababu have partcipated from
community side , we also gave a call for people and luckily we
recieved a journalist and had the profs to help come out with FUEL
telugu .

Another effort recently would be Me , Raihman , Chava Kiran , Praveen

 There was also an attempt to bring up Gnome Glossary .Some 500
Strings were done in one attempt , but as time progressed the number
of people participated in discussion decreased leaving very few people
to work on other strings . Its unfortunate but cant be avoided thanks
to the huge size of glossary .

Another question on why swecha and indlinux pages arent in telugu -
the simplest answer would be that telugu translations are a small part
of their work .

hamster-applet అనువాదమో చెప్పకుండా కనుక్కున్నవాళ్ళకి బహుమతివ్వచ్చు. ఇలా అనువదించే కంటే 
దాన్నలా వదిలేస్తే అనువాదం కానిదిగా కనిపిస్తుంది కాబట్టి తెలిసిన వాళ్ళు అనువదిస్తారు.

మరొక ముఖ్యమైన విషయం: మాట్లాడే భాషకు దగ్గరగా ఉంటే తప్పితే ఈ కాలంలో తెలుగులో కంప్యూటర్లు వాడి 
ఉద్దరించే మహాపిండాలు లేవు. కాబట్టి ఈ విషయం కాస్త ఘాట్టిగా మనసులో వేస్కోమని విజ్ఞప్తి.

Hi Karunakar,

This font is in very alpha stage though the glyphs are well matured :-)
There is no proper Unicode mapping to each glyph.
More over; it seems to resemble the existing proprietary font.
If there wouldn't be any license issue, I will pick this task to take it
forward.
Please confirm.
